Brenda’s Pizzeria is located just off route 219 by the lake in Traders Landing!  Not only is Brenda’s some of the best pizza pie in the area, but as you can see from the photo, some folks say they are also famous for their very yummy Chocolate Chip Cookie and Ice Cream treats! (A personal favorite is the chocolate dipped cannoli!)

Work and road closures on Glendale Road will continue up through the week of May 24th.  The road will be closed to thru traffic during the hours of 7 AM until 5 PM Monday through Friday, with no traffic being allowed to cross the Glendale Bridge.  Businesses are still open in that location and there will be a flag person who will be able to direct people arriving and departing from the businesses and local residences.

Please be patient-and don’t forget to find the way to the detour before you get in the car!

Join us on June 7, 2013 at 6:30 PM at the Elks Lodge in Oakland, MD for this years annual Dancing with the Local Stars Contest Exhibition & Dance!

Last year 2 of our own here at Long and Foster competed, Doug McClive and Shelia McCracken.  It was a blast and believe it or not, they could dance!

This year there is a cast of 6 new local couples!  Entertainment will be provided by the Bobby Nicholas Band and there will be a silent auction.  Tickets are $40 per person or $75 per couple. Food and Beverage provided, and a CASH bar available.

This event is to Benefit the Danding Classtooms of the Alleghenies, a local, non profit 501C 3 organization.
